A braiding studio in Manassas, Virginia, built around the two things clients tell us matter most — the price and the time.
Reviews clients have given us, published here with their permission.
It takes a minute and it is the single most useful thing you can do for us.
Five questions the studio asks out loud: what came in, how full the chairs were, what each braider did, who is coming back, and what is on the shelf. Every figure is worked out from the ledger — none of it is stored as a total.
Every figure here is the sum of lines you can read underneath it. Open a braider to see each client she took, what it earned and what she was tipped.
Reviews are entered here, by us. Clients cannot post to the site themselves, so nothing appears in public that we have not read first.
A small panel asks a client to review us on Google. It only ever appears once the link below is filled in, and it is shown once per device, with a two-month gap if it is dismissed.
Hair included unless stated. Prices in US dollars. Times are estimates and are confirmed when the booking is approved.

Two chairs running today. Three requests are waiting on you.
Capacity, anything blocking the day, and what needs you. Every line is counted from a record — nothing here is guessed.
Adjust the time if you think it will run longer, then approve.
Two at once now. The same view holds ten when the salon does.
Every client conversation, in one place. Anyone can write at any time — they do not need a booking first.
What people do on the site, and what it turns into. Figures come from real use — where there is nothing yet, it says so rather than inventing a number.
Visits and requests, and what was booked. Two measures, two charts — never squeezed onto one axis.
Choose what goes down the side and across the top, and what is counted.

The seeded durations are guesses. Record the real time on each visit and this table replaces them with your own measured numbers.
Turn off anything you do not do. Change any price. Set the hours a style really takes — the times shipped with the site are estimates, and yours replace them everywhere.
Add photographs of your own work. They appear in the client gallery straight away.
These are the pictures and messages that rotate at the top of the home page. Star a picture below to put it in, star it again to take it out. Up to ten.

Open one client and know who she is, what she had, when she is due, and what to do next.
Every line is worked out from what is actually recorded. Nothing here is invented.
Who works here, what each of them can do, when they are here, and how full their day is.
What the salon can actually do, who can do it, and where a single person is the only one who can.
Click a square to set a level. 1 beginner · 2 intermediate · 3 advanced · 4 expert · 5 master. An empty square means she does not do it.
Counted from the matrix and from who is working. A skill only one person has is a skill the salon loses the day she is off.
Which skill a style needs, and the lowest level that may take the booking. The booking engine will not offer a braider who does not meet this.
Theoretical capacity is braiders times hours. Realistic capacity takes out breaks, admin and the slack every real day has. Both are shown, because only one of them is true.
Against realistic capacity. Click a day to see what is binding it.
A bottleneck is a style people want that too few people here can do.
Change one thing and see what it does to the week. Nothing is saved.
By braider or by station. Move an appointment and it is checked before it lands.
Who is with a client, who is free, and which station each is on.
Every appointment, with the braider, the station and anything wrong with it.
When something frees up, this is who to call, in order.
Gaps big enough for someone on the list, matched to who fits them.
The work that is not a booking — training, supplies, campaigns, opening the salon.
Zelle and cash deposits a client says they have sent. Nothing here confirms a booking until somebody has checked the bank and pressed Verify.
The rules the engines run on. Nothing here is hard-coded, so none of it needs a developer to change.
Realistic capacity is the working day minus these. A day that is 100% booked against theoretical capacity is a day that runs late.
Weights the recommendation engine uses. They must add up to 100.
When a client counts as overdue, at risk, inactive or lost. Until she has three visits of her own these studio-wide numbers govern; after that her own pattern does.
Accounts for the studio side. Passcodes are salted and hashed rather than stored as text, but the check still happens in this browser — see the note on the sign-in screen. Real sign-in needs the server work in app/REMEDIATION-PLAN.md.
These change what the interface offers. They are not security — anyone with the studio link can reach the data underneath. See app/WORKFORCE-ARCHITECTURE.md.
Two braiders on one head is not half the time. They work around one person in one chair. These are what a studio typically sees, and they are estimates until Royal Touch has measured its own \u2014 the first thirty jobs with a crew on them should replace these numbers.
Not settled yet, so it starts as not decided and the pay screen refuses to invent an amount. A braider can have her own arrangement on her own record, which overrides this. Tips always go to the braider in full.
The icons in the gold bar and the row at the foot of the home page. An account with no link here is shown but does not go anywhere — it never points at a handle we have not claimed. Paste the full address, starting with https://
Scheduling changes, most recent first.
The salon has one braider and no completed appointment. Sample records let the screens be judged. They are never mixed with anything you enter.
What we have, what is already spoken for by a booking, and what has to be ordered before somebody is turned away.
Who should be texted, what to say, and an honest record of what actually went out.
Money, people, stock and clients. Where there is not enough recorded to answer a question, the answer is that — not a number.
